Medical geneticists assess clinical data, plan multidisciplinary consults, submit the data to review by ad-hoc local work groups, interpret the clinical information, code recorded birth defects and supervise data entry, management and quality/ assurance procedures.
Quarterly, data is reviewed by a team of medical geneticists, neonatologists, pediatricians and other experts drawn from national and oblast (provinces-state) medical and academic centers.
