Besides, some of the participants asked for the book "Basics of Legal Support of Disabled Children", printed earlier and presented at the previous conference in the frame of the project - "Basics of Legal Support of Disabled Children" (November, 2002). Physicians and representatives of NGO "Parents' Association of Special Needs Children" also received 23 sets of books, published by UABDP ("Growth References: From 3rd Trimester to Adulthood", "Birth Defects Book for Parents" and "Birth Defects Book for Specialists").
The conference proved to be a success. New contacts established during the conference will be kept up. Parents of children with Down syndrome discussed issues of All-Ukrainian Parental Support Organization creation, necessity to change the approaches to special needs children rehabilitation, implementation of early stimulation programs. The base line of the discussion was creation in Rivne the first in Ukraine Center of Daily Care for these children.
